Being told that the Lakers will be pursuing Tom Thibodeau. Byron Scott has just the one year left. Lakers would be paying four head coaches.

Kobe with Thibodeau sounds like a magnificent disaster.

Who would be the 4th? I can't remember.
Mike Brown, Byron Scott, Thibs and who is the other one?

Dantoni ???

frick Kobe, he's as the end of his career. They really should not worry about him honestly. He isn't the player he was, he's a shell of it. I would argue that he's is really not that vital to Laker success anymore. He's more anti success at this point.

That's right. Can't keep up with the revolving door in LA.

Yeah, I thought about that. He has maybe one year of mild relevance left. And, maybe he wouldn't mind seeing Thibs whip some arse. I just have a hard time thinking he wants to be ground into dust at this point by some socially awkward guy who should be an assistant.

Add Rondo into that disaster too

Out of all those guys ... none of worthy of coaching the Lakers.
And ... I was a Celtics guy growing up ... so, really have no love for the Lakers.
But ... the league is really fine if the Knicks suck.
The league is better if the Celtics and Lakers are respectable.
The league is sorry when the fricking Clippers (and Golden State) are way better than the Lakers.
It's like a bizarro world.
Calipari could be the new Pat Riley ... Thibs...uhh...NO.

Then he should retire. He's been a life long Laker (career wise), and he's more of a Kobe fan to be honest. If he really cared about himself as much as he shows, as he claims to care for the Lakers...then he should retire if he doesn't want to put up with it. If he starts all kinds of shite, it's because he's selfish and just wants to do what he wants to do.

The lakers don't have the leadership in their ownership today to move past the kobe era i ntil kobe does it for them by retiring. If they had that kind of vision they would have prioritzed howard instead of kobe.
It sounds like another disaster in the making if they try to move forward with kobe, thibs, and rondo... Which makes as much sense as d'antoni with pau, old kobe, and old nash

I think Thibs is actually pretty good for a young team. And D'Antoni had great showtime like system, he just had Pau and Dwight.

Really? Go back to the 90s when the Knicks were great. It was awesome for the league. The East needs it. The league needs it. But Dolan karma kicking them in the arse.
The league is better if the Celtics and Lakers are respectable.
Fact.
The league is sorry when the fricking Clippers (and Golden State) are way better than the Lakers.
Not necessarily. I would think the league would be more worried if there was a sustained period of time where Sacramento and Minnesota were the 2 premier West teams. Golden State (Silicon Valley Money) and any LA team are still glamour teams.
It's like a bizarro world.
And as a fan I love it. Finally we'll have new blood win a 'chip.
Calipari could be the new Pat Riley ... Thibs...uhh...NO.
Cal tried it before and failed. He's not as cerebral as Riles.

Celtics are tradition. And the Lakers are the league's "house team". One of the most recognizable brands in sports.

So sick of this stupid meme.
The league is fine right now. The league is best when the level of basketball being played is at its highest.

This totally explains the huge revenue spike the league is seeing.

The same reason why college football is better when FSU, USC, tOSU, Michigan, ND, Penn St., and Miami are very strong and nationally ranked in the top 15.
All are traditional brands/teams who have long long history's of winning games and titles.
