That should be enough to have his front butt permanently removed.

I always lol'ed at the fact his first 10 plays are scripted, no matter what is taking place on the field.

Wish I could get paid that much after getting fired because i suck at my job.
Coaching contracts are really stupid in many ways, but no matter what the money gets paid out. Should be performance stipulations to actually receive a check over time.

That number sounds low, but I found this.
Base salary versus total compensation and bonuses.
Les's base is pretty low. But, then there are extras like : The Les Miles Radio Show, Inside LSU Football, win 8 games, etc. All those kick in more money.
ETA: I think LM's base is low. Does someone know the base salary for LM?

College coaching contracts are out of control and always favor the coach. Every coach has to have at least five years left on his contract in order to recruit. That means he will always collect a paycheck for five years after he is fired. Makes no damn sense.

I thought this was usually the case with most teams?

Agreed.
I do find it crazy that NFL player contracts and college football scholarships aren't guaranteed and that you're dispensable based on your on-field performance or health, but yet college and pro coaching contracts aren't tied to performance and there's virtually no contractual recourse in the event of bad performance.
I know it's an apples and oranges situation, but it's a weird dynamic, especially now that coaching contracts in the NFL are on par for the most part with player salaries.

Worst contract(s) in NCAA history?
Maybe not absolute worst, but hell, I'd stay away from South Bend for half that.
