I feel sorry for yall so interested in retiring so early. A man has to work. Quit being lazy I like my job even though I was in office from 8 to 8 yesterday.

I guess it's all about lifestyle. If a person hates their job, they would rather retire earlier and have extra free time to pursue things that they are interested in. If a person was a photographer for beach models, they would probably want to wait till retirement. How many people enjoy their job/career?

Unless you're an owner, I feel sorry for you, that you need to be a twelve hour a day cubicle slave in order to not feel lazy. No offense, but it's rather thick to equate having a job with not being lazy. My father retired at 65 and continued to run his farm and work a part time job until a stroke took him out at 93. And there's not a man (or woman) on this board who could have out worked him.
My lady friend retired five years ago. She works three part time jobs and volunteers, in order to stay occupied and do different things. But like my father, she does what she enjoys. She's not just working to work.
Working to live is one thing. But living to work, IMO, that represents a sad existence.
I do what I do now because they pay me a healthy salary. I enjoy it well enough. But if I could retire today and get the same salary, nothing in the OP prohibited anyone from taking the money now and then also doing what they truly enjoy.

Option A. Time is more valuable than money to me. I retired early and never looked back. It's been wonderful.
