That's how religion keeps the masses under its mighty thumb. They make you feel bad about logic. So they can stay relevant. A form of self worship? What ever happened to accomplishment.
If we truly had the answers from God, there would be no need for religion. There wouldn't be any labels at all.
Your last response is a good example of my original post.

No explanation for something in the natural world? Must be God.

If you have an able mind and an able body and are able to "accomplish" stuff, then it's a blessing that God made you that way. It's your choice whether or not you glorify Him for it.
I'll agree with your second point. If God were running this world, there would be no disease, poverty, death. It's coming eventually, of that I believe with all of my heart.

Very true. We see the same thing with every demographic category that's "superior" according to secular society--the rich, men, and whites are all more likely to be atheist.
The Bible is also full of examples of self-worship. Saul making the sacrifice without waiting for Samuel, David sending Uriah on a suicide mission, Solomon turning away from God to serve idols, Jeroboam setting up his own holy places in hopes of cementing his earthly power, Uzziah going into the temple and trying to usurp priestly functions...and all of those kings lived in the age of prophecy and should have known better.

The age of prophecy? Hilarious. I was wondering why prophecies only happened back then.

I just hope I am not beating off at the exact moment Jesus comes back....talk about awkward!

Also. If religion preaches too much education is a form of self-worship.. Why is it responsible for so many secondary education resources?

Personally, I'm hopeful that Jesus will call me up
It still sounds like tornado sirens to me. They can make all kinds of different sounds, and I've heard some of those come out of them. A broken one would do the same

Most of those places don't have and don't need tornado sirens.

To be frank, I think you are confusing subjects. You may not see the distinction, but there is a huge difference in religion and true Christianity.

Funny that what you say about religion also applies to global warming hypesters

Religion has such a strong grip in the south. It makes otherwise intelligent people make some of the most ridiculous assertions. Emotions are no match for logic if you allow it.
I bet you're a beacon of light in the logic department. Show us poor religious people the logical way!
Seriously though, douches that act like they have everything figured out logically and that they are somehow more intelligent than religious people just because they don't believe in a supreme being are incredibly moronic.

Most cities over 5000 people have sirens for one reason or another. Anywhere with a plant, any semblance of tornado risk, or any other reason will. I said it in the other thread, but you aren't attentive enough and don't know enough to notice them

You are touchy. You're right. I'm sure it's just malfunctioning sirens (in rural British Columbia among others) and no one connected the dots.
Sorry I didn't notice your other post. Chicken hasn't hired me on yet. As soon as he does, I'll be sure to keep up with every fricking thread.

I believe in a supreme being. I just don't believe in religion's version of it. It's still just a belief. Your defensive post isn't necessary. I don't think I'm more intelligent. I said in the post that most religious people are intelligent. Even though they follow and help spread the word of a religion that has no evidence to support it. So what's moronic again? I don't have everything figured out but, I can deduct things that are presented as the truth without any supporting proof. That's grade school logic.

It is foolish to assume that just because you haven't experienced God personally, that others have not.
I've personally had a spiritual encounter of some type, where the barrier was down enough for sound to come through. I've personally seen these spirits flee at the name of Jesus.
I've seen medical miracles. I know you have no reason to believe me, but I'm going to spread the truth either way.

It's quite a long story. Suffice it to say that Jesus is Lord.
As an aside, that's my personal struggle now. To really let Jesus be Lord in all aspects of my life. I am very weak when it comes to this.
