Rookie quarterback Connor Halliday, signed by the Redskins as an undrafted free agent, has apparently retired on the eve of his first minicamp practice with the team. Coach Jay Gruden said on Saturday that he awoke to a voicemail from Halliday, and the two haven't yet talked. "He chose to jump on a plane and head to the house," Gruden said, per The Washington Post.

I have had a couple of jobs where I ended up wishing I had done this.

Kid was a product of Mike Leach, I watched Wash St play a couple of times, typical pass happy offense but this kid made some sucktastic plays, he was never going to play pro ball. Should go Arena or CFL.

Lol at least give NFL camp a try just to see if you can do it... we'd kill for the opportunity

He had a major injury in college and many didn't think he would play a snap ever again. Not surprised to hear this
