Oh. A question since I've never been to Buffalo.
In the past, was the east side nice? Is it shitty now?
And before you say it, no, I don't subscribe to the "let one in" theory. The blacks in my neighborhood are here to get away from shite places like Buffalo's east side too.
But, the reporter, if he really wanted to delve into it, could worry less about if people would be upset by what this guy is saying and perhaps speak to what happened on the east side.
If you lived there for 33 years and watched an entire section of town go to shite that wasn't shite before, it's really easy for some dude without that experience to cast aspersions.

He's both fed up and a racist.

The guy asked for his opinion and he gave it. Everything he said was true. Nothing to see here..

Doesn't matter, the south is more racist -navytiger74

You are not a racist for stating the obvious. He is not condoning actions against blacks, just stating what most white people think and are too scared to say.

I just re-watched and the thing that jumps out the most to me is just how befuddled the reporter is.
He appears to realize that his entire response and line of questioning amounts to platitudes.
You can almost hear him wanting to just say "you're a racist" and walk off so that he doesn't have to confront it anymore.
Sounds like he knows the east side is shite and that he knows it wasn't always that way. So, all he can do is think, "I know I'm not allowed to generalized......what do I do.....?"

He's not wrong. The majority of overwhelmingly minority neighborhoods are complete shite.
Further, minority run GOVERNMENTS are complete shite.
Why is that?
EDIT: He is a little wrong about the generalization. Many minorities live in majority white neighborhoods and there is never any issues.
It's when the scale tips to a majority of minorities that the neighborhood goes to shite.
It's really perplexing to me that this happens. I mean, I get it but it's sad.

What did he say that was erroneous with exception to the generalization.
The east side of Buffalo WAS ruined... Parts of New Orleans are a no go. Detroit. Oakland. I could go on. White people didn't do that.

It's ok, navytiger74 assured me that the north is a blissful racial utopia. This must have been in the south. Like Buffalo, Tennessee or somewhere.

Right. It's funny that you have black leaders coming out and saying "Well... That is OUR fault" and you have the white guilt liberals saying "No, it's OUR fault. We're keeping you down because we're not GIVING you enough stuff".
Meanwhile... Black Leaders Telling It How It Is

Technically, it is. He's part of that neighborhood. It's his in the respect that he resides.
Obviously he doesn't own or run it.
