If Foster wins his ineligibility appeal, should he be allowed back?

I'm kind of on the fence about this. Regardless of if he wins the case or not, the fact that he let it get to this is pretty irresponsible and hurt the team, which is pretty shitty on his part.

I don't know all the facts of his troubles, but if he wins an appeal, I'd bring him back for depth, if nothing else.

You let him back on the team. Whether he still has a starting spot is TBD.

If a man on Death Row wins his appeal do you kill him anyway? winning an appeal means you were falsley accused......

What a stupid analogy.

How so? Your punishing someone who was ruled innocent. Of course he should be allowed back. Are you stupid or something?

Yeah no shite. Lol. It's amazing there is any question about this.

If the alternative is to deny a eligible senior, to complete his academic and athletic career, yes.

Some people are just vindictive and unforgiving. Of course he comes back if he was wrongfully accused!

Because we are not talking about a murder.
We're talking about a student-athlete who has hurt the team because he didn't fulfill his duties.

It absolutely does not. People who are guilty win appeals all the time. It's our system.
The coaches know what he did, he knows what he did, and the administration knows what he did.
Regardless of the outcome of his appeal, I respect Manieri's choice regarding his future.

...I mean if he wins the appeal then he will have never been ineligible and will only have missed time due to Mainieri booting him off before the process was complete. He was eligible through Sunday and this appeal will have a verdict within a day or two I would assume....

And it still doesn't mean the coach doesnt know what he did and how to handle his team. Academic appeals are a whole different game.

He was kicked off the team because he was academically ineligible secondary to a grade. If the grade is found to be unjust by the system in place then he was kicked off under false pretenses.
Any professor that would do this is a tool on a power trip anyways. In what way does giving a guy a D in a sports admin class vs a C help anyone? Youre willing to go out of your way to put the kids baseball career in jeopardy? Any non MLB job that Foster ends up having couldnt care less about that grade but it could seriously jeopardize potentially getting drafted.

Are you seriously arguing for disparate treatment? Unless the professor had a hard on for him, he may have deserved his grade. Neither you or I would have gotten a better grade just because we were athletes.
Hell, I fought for the difference in a B and an A while I was in school. Should I have told the teacher I would make millions as a doctor had he not screwed me?
