Projecting the CB Depth Chart

I think this could be a very interesting competition. Most of us can agree about the top two:
Lewis
Browner
But after that, we've got a gaggle of guys, some of whom we know very little about. Where do you guys think they end up slotted? Obviously they will not all make the roster but let's just order them as if they do:
Williams
Wilson
Dixon
Breaux (worth noting he is listed as a DB and not a CB on the team website...)
Frederick
SJB
Swann
This is pretty hard. It gets a little murky considering some of these guys will probably be slotted into different areas (nickel vs outside) so just do your best
Lewis
Browner

I have a feeling SJB and Swann get the boot. Hate to see it especially with SJB being a second round pick.

No idea really.
Only thing I hope is that SJB practiced his arse off this off season or his time as a Saints is done.

I feel like Breaux and Williams will get the most playing time outside of the top 2 starters.
PJ is a 1st round talent and Breaux's tape really impressed me.

Hard for me to see Jean-Baptiste being released. He'll get a little more time because he was a second rounder.

4 or 5 years of mediocre play in New York I guess. I know I wasn't happy when we signed him but you never know
Posted on 5/9/15 at 7:02 pm to tigers32
But with the new guys we got in the secondary if he didn't improve then I don't see them keeping him on the roster
Posted on 5/9/15 at 7:03 pm to Tigerfan_95
He's not going to the PS and they won't keep him just to ride pine while we release a better CB. Dude better step up his game.

I just think we'll need his experience. HE's supposed to be ok covering slot guys.
outside of Browner and Lewis, he has played in more games than all those other guys combined.

SJB needs to make a giant leap to even get to that level.

Lewis
Browner
Williams
and then the battle for the fourth and fifth will be a tight race.

1 - Lewis
2 - Browner
3 - Williams
4 - Wilson
5 - Dixon, Breaux, Frederick, or SJB
PS - Swann. I think Dixon and Breaux can also be put on PS as well, but I'm not aware of all the rules concerning the PS.

Lewis
Browner
Williams
Wilson
SJB
Breaux goes to the practice squad. Frederick and Swann get cut. No way SJB gets cut he was drafted as a project. Breaux has potential, I'm not really sure why we have Frederick still (don't know anything about him really) and I'm not really sure why we even drafted Swann, although we sacrificed two 6ths for him so they must have liked him.

Because they don't believe in SJB

SJB was pretty much drafted as a project, right? I highly doubt they give up on him after a year if they drafted him as a project unless they just don't even think the potential is there anymore.

They like Swann in the slot.
Posted on 5/10/15 at 12:09 pm to DrewGOATBrees
I think they like Swann in the slot and as a rover/CB/S hybrid. Basically he will come in in dime situations.
With the way the league is going, I think you may see more teams drafting a lot more secondary players year in and year out. It's a pass happy league and you need depth and diverse types of players in the secondary. Let's face it, it's hard to find a guy who can cover a Calvin Johnson, a Gronkowski and Wes Welker. You have to draft two or three CB/S a year and hope a few work out.
