I don't think there would be any question we would have a smart leader at our MLB spot

Wow. That would be a really nice addition. Joyner, Ferns, and Divinity.

Maybe since he is a huge Ohio State fan, he won't want to go to Penn State so he won't have to play the Buckeyes.

At LSU, he doesn't have to worry about that...until the BCS Playoffs BOOM

And possibly McCulloch as well. Those four along with Chattman would be an elite and the top LB hall. Any way you slice it, we needed an ILB in this class. To actually get the best one this year would be icing.

Not only a great PE program at LSU, but also right in the heart of job country for that industry.

Incredibly difficult to get a degree in PETE while playing football. Best of luck to the young man in his endeavors but that will be a challenge. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Penn St.

I believe Oliver Brown in basketball in the late 80s was one of the very few major sport LSU athletes to ever get an engineering degree - mechanical engr for him.

As an LSU EE alumnus, I can only imagine how difficult it would be to play ncaa sports and keep up with that kind of curriculum.

Best of luck to the young man whatever he decides to do.

I just read about this on an Ohio State board and was coming to post it.

Y'all are on the ball.

I hope he looks hard at LSU. A great coach, great team, great school and great fanbase.

Class act all around.

Ronald Dupree was an engineering major and a really good student, as well. He ended up going pro before graduating, but came back for a degree. Not sure if he finished up in EE, though.

Enjoying the optimism for Joyner, hope it's not ill-placed

His workload would be bruttttaaall with football and PE.

Awesome ambition though. Sounds like the kid has his head on straight.

Yeah, I had a hard enough time getting my degree and I didn't play collegiate athletics
