Looking for feedback on various soccer camps and experiences, good or bad. Son is 14,looking at UAB or Houston. Heard good things about Eurotech.

14? Dammit man. How can we compete with the South American and European squads if fathers like you are waiting until their sons are 14 to get them into a camp.

Do your homework. There are a lot of bullshite orgs out there. FWIW: My son did a summer camp with the New York Red Bulls (so-so) and the LA Galaxy (outstanding).

UNC soccer camp was pretty helpful. I would see what college teams he is into and just send him to one of their camps, if they have a good soccer team.

UCSB (University California Santa Barbara) has a fantastic one. Or at least they used do, I'm just assuming they still do it.

I did the Eurosport camp in Covington. It was brutal, because it felt like it was a million degrees outside with 100% humidity and shitty dorm conditions and food, but the camp itself was really good.

UAB is considered one of the best in the country.
I went there back in the day. I'd recommend it.

Not sure where you live but tons of people in the Atlanta area do Clemson and UAB. I actually went to a Ralph Lundy camp one week and thought it was fantastic. Really good skill development.

In BR, so we are looking at UAB, Houston, Dallas area, all Southeast, etc. eurotech looks good, but more expensive than others.

I went to Duke twice as a kid and had a great experience but that was years ago.
