I agree. If the team has any appetite for risk, this would be the time to roll the dice.

A lot of fans and radio hosts down here are panicking because they think the Saints have no options now and will trade up.

I think the players they are targeting are falling so hallelujah.

I should have known you were a lawyer. Youve already proven yesterday that you will argue till you are blue in the face defending a position you didnt even hold.

I don't think this is accurate. They're saying he's not a suspect but they still want to talk to him. They won't consider him "cleared" until they have that conversation.

And even if he has an alibi that proves he wasn't in town they're still going to want to make sure there's no chance he hired someone to kill her and then made damn sure he wasn't in town.

I think you have a better chance at winning the lottery with those numbers than drafting them there.

I feel very confident in saying that no one in the police department is saying Collins will not be a suspect. In a case like this, the husband/boyfriend/ex-boyfriend are always suspects until they'er been eliminated as such. Without an eyewitness to the killing, the investigation will take some time to unfold...time that Collins doesn't have in order to not affect his draft position.

The thing that is puzzling is that Collins' is still in Chicago. Unless he and his attorney can wrestle a statement out of the police department clearly stating that Collins is in no way associated with the crime (which isn't likely to happen), then he is a sitting duck for every person with a camera and/or microphone in their hands. He should have been on the first plane back and meeting with the police this morning; staying up there while this is out there doesn't help.

I agree Adono. If I were his agent I'd have flown him back to talk to the police on the next flight out of town. The only way to make sure he doesn't fall in the draft over this is to have the police publicly say he is not a person of interest and that is not going to happen definitively until they have a chance to talk to him.

It's damned peculiar.

Finally, someone is showing common sense.

Collins headed back to B.R.

I hope he can get them to clear him before tomorrow.... yeah I know it's in our best interests for him to fall but I'd hate to see the kid lose out on millions if he truly had nothing to do with this.
