He was great at Everton, yes, but that has nothing to do with this. I don't have anything against the guy, but he looked bored and unmotivated in the 2 years leading up to the WC. He doesn't deserve a spot in the team if he's not going to work for it. That was my point.

I also stated that I wouldn't have been against his inclusion in the team considering the lack of options around him.

It was a mistake to not take him to Brazil. End of story.
