I remain disappointed by Bayou Teche.

Cocodrie, Miel Sauvage and Lou Garou are their really nice offerings.

I've definitely enjoyed these beers. But I'd also submit Coteau Rodaire and Teche Hombres to the list. Those are probably my favorite beers from them.

One thing I commend them for is their willingness to experiment and work with unique flavor combinations. It doesn't always work, but it sometimes it yields some really nice results. That interests me a lot more than some other local breweries that just seem content to crank out indistinguishable takes on traditional styles.

Evening gents and ladies.

Certainly not my FBD but sort of a unique one.

Bulleit barrel aged Ten FIDY from cottage hill package store.

Truthfully, I can't say that I've had Cocodrie, Teche Hombres, or Miel Sauvage. I did try Biere Joi (disappoint), and Loup Garou is certainly solid. And their normal line-up is pretty underwhelming.

I should give the limiteds more tries. I respect experimentation, but I want it to be fun. Even if it's not great, I want it to be, "Oh, that was weird. Glad I tried that flavor melding even if it didn't quite work."
