Saw this fricker in the corner or my patio near a wood pile. i guess getting out of all this rain. He couldnt run far.

Cottonmouth.

I'm still pissed at my sister a and BIL after I killed one at their house. They jumped on me saying they didn't want any copperheads killed (but that cottonmouths are free game.) I tried telling them that is was a cottonmouth and they both immediately informed me that I didn't know WTH I was talking about.
I mean got-damn, if you are going to tell someone they are wrong, at least be right about it. frickers. It was two against one so I didn't argue much.

Yeah, from the pics online and Wikipedia, it's definitely a juvi cottonmouth. The yellow tail is the indicator.

It's a cottonmouth, copperhead juvi's have more of a triangle pattern that is spaced further apart.

baby moccasins and copperheads are almost impossible to tell apart
unless you can get him to smile and open wide

Here's a pic of a young cottonmouth at my SIL's house. You can really see the copper shade on the snake. She let it live.

Juvenile cottonmouth. Greenish yellow tail is common in juveniles
