Mike Brown memorial tree destroyed

quote:

It was only one day after a tree was planted in Ferguson, Missouri, in honor of Michael Brown, that it was destroyed by a supporter of Officer Darren Wilson.

Along with vandalizing the tree, the accompanying memorial plaque was stolen.

Local KMOV news explains that “the tree was dedicated by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association on Saturday, but was found vandalized on Sunday morning.”

“The memorial,” the continue, “is along a walking trail in January-Wabash Park in Ferguson.”

Local KPLR reports that the police say they are “investigating” for “possible witnesses,” but they claim that they “have no suspects at this time.”

One park visitor said, “it’s not going to get any better if you keep having stuff like that happen.”

Another asked, “I can’t understand why someone would want to cut down the tree. What, they want to start something back up again?”

Why does the American Library Association have or need a black caucus?

Am I a bad person for being disgusted that there was a tree in the first place. It's sad that a human life was lost, but he was no hero or martyr. He was a criminal that died while attacking someone.

Good! That piece of shite has caused the death of a bunch of people and ruined the lives of hundreds, he doesn't need a memorial tree.

He was a nature loving gentle giant who dreamt of being a forest ranger.

Even if you don't agree with the "movement" or memorializing the dude, why vandalize this thing?

Whoever did this is just successfully bringing MORE attention and justification for the "cause"

It's the media and protestors fault that it was destroyed. The SEDOND the shooting happened, the media and citizens of Furguson divided everyone and picked teams. Stupid motherfrickers, that is what the other team is gonna do to your memorial.

Now if everything would have been reported fairly and the stupid arse protestors would have focused their anger on the correct target, the odds of someone destroying the memorial would be significantly lower.
