Obj drop/fumble against Florida.

If we gave up on players that dropped a lot of passes in one season, then Odell Beckham would be some scrub we never heard of since 2012
True story! Agreed

Dwayne Bowe dropped so many, I thought he was shaving points.

Lafell also had drop issues.
Hester fumbled first carry.
I don't think the drops are as important of a factor for Quinn as getting separation. To be a possession receiver you must have great hands or be physical enough to shield the defender. Sorta like Landry was. Haven't seen this from Quinn yet.
Of course, QB accuracy plays a significant part as well.

I like Dupree on the field anywhere.....every possession this year. Dude's got hands for days.

Why do all these players who have the talent we need all of the sudden have maturity issues? First Brandon Harris now Chi had maturity issues? I don't get where all this is coming from. Its not like we hear them beating women and stealing like a bama and florida. I think people are putting these kids who were true freshman on too high of a pedestal. Imagine your freshman year at college I am sure it would put these guys to shame. I know mine would.
If you noticed I quickly edited my post. I didn't want to taint the kid and that wasn't what it was about. My point was that he had to suck it up and learn that it takes 100% on the practice field just like the playing field.
All Freshman transition. Some do well, some don't do so well, and some never do. It's obvious Malachi transitioned really quickly. The thing he couldn't do was clap his hands and put on 15 pounds and increase his functional strength. That was his biggest impediment to being more of an impact last year.
It will not be so this year. He'll get his shots. It's up to him. My money's on him being All-SEC caliber.

because i think chark is gonna be a game changer that people will have to respect.
It's going to be like Dural was last year, and similar to Devin Smith at Ohio State as well. He's going to be a deep threat guy.
I also think if Dural has developed enough (getting off jams, actually fighting for the ball, improving his hands, and route running), then he could be that true #1 we need. If we didn't have so many WRs, I'd definitely say he needs to stay another year because he still has so much to improve on. Maybe he takes care of it all over the summer.

So ill say again has he lost his Stone Hands?

I think he's more of an edge guy personally. The starting two should be Dural and Dupree on the edge with Chark, Tyron Johnson, Diarse, and Quinn all rotating within the slot. A big suprise this year I think will be DeSean Smith the TE. If we can find him a way to get the ball, he has a big fast moving body that's good in versatile positions.
Dupree just has too much Height and Jumping capabilities to be running most of the underneath routes. I think that really suits Tyron Johnsons game perfectly and he might just be the starting z by the end of the season.

Jeez dude, give the guy another season before you start saying stuff like that. He was a freshman.

We only had 136 passes completed last year, so he accounted for a little over 10% of all the completed passes whereas Dural had 37 receptions accounting for 27%. The next receiver(s) on the team only had 17 - and that was both Terrence Magee and Trey Quinn. That's crazy

Don't come in here with actual facts, stats, and logic Emiliooo, LOL! The Rant might blow up!

Diarse needs to be on the field more this year. Not saying over dupree but over Quinn for sure.

Would love Diarse in the redzone.
Diarse Dural and Dupree and Desean in for redzone snaps, throw it high.

I like some of the plays we ran with Dupree in the slot and Chark out wide.
I went to the game and dvr'd the SECN replay of the spring game. I did not get the second half so I don't know if they showed much of it.
The point I want to make was that they came out in a set with Dural wide, Dupree slot, and Chark to other wideout. The result was two completions to Dupree over the middle "a la Juice Landry" and a flare to Williams out of the backfield similar to some of the passes we threw to Jones/Neighbors last season. This set was very productive!
Oh, and I left out that AJ was the QB at the time FWIW.
