So you take advantage of the ignorant. Nice
If people are dumb enough not to know what they are selling, why would i tell them?
I have made 10's of thousands of dollar over the last 12 years or so on this exact reason.
Nothing like going to an estate sale that are handled by "professionals" and grab a GI Joe or some rare LSU item for $1, knowing it's worth $500.

I'm not criticizing you. I despise ignorance. It's just that I find it hard to believe they didn't know what it was. In fact, with all of the antiques and collectible shows on tv I'm surprised you'd find anything of value underpriced. Those who would be stupid and underprice it don't seem like the people who'd have anything I'd want.

One of my main basic rules for garage selling: I only go to rich and/or old neighborhoods. Rich people buy good stuff and sell it cheap when they have a garage sale, just wanting to get rid of it.
Middle class and the poor people have junk and think its worth more then it actually is worth. They have garage sales to make money.
Every weekend, there are at least a dozen sales in the Shenandoah area. I never go to these because it is the same trash at every sale, baby stuff, junk from Bed, Bath, & Beyond, and new toys.
A friend of mine bought a box for $2 last week from a house in the Garden District. The people even knew what was in there, but still sold it. It had tickets, programs, and an 8mm home movie film of the Beatles playing in New Orleans in 1966 (or when ever).
