Yeah but curing compounds shouldn't stain it brown. You might end up with inconsistent shades of gray. Brown stains leads me to believe a couple of possibilities.
- It was raining during the placement, and they didn't protect it post floating, so you might have light aggregate showing.
- You've got red dirt, and it was washed into the top layer because of dirty tools, rain, etc.
- they put mesh in it and just wet set it, so you might have re steel rust showing.
