I actually watched some the UT vs Sam Houston State baseball game last night. SHS shut them something like 7-0.

They showed a stat that Texas is now 7-17 when their opponents score 3 or more runs. WOW!

Cal State Fullerton is right behind them at 19-16 and Stanford is 14-20.

Sam Houston is actually really good at baseball for a non P5 school. Their coaching staff came from Rice and they get a bunch of Rice transfers.

Regardless it's about time for Augie to go also. With the exception of making it to Omaha last year, UT baseball has struggled since 2009, for UT standards anyways. It's a new era for UT sports. Their long time coaches got complacent and stale and it's time for new blood.

something like 7-0.

Small point, but it was 5-0. And it's not like SHSU is a bad program. They're frequently a tourney team, and beat the bigger programs in the state with regularity.

As for what's up with UT, I don't know. Could just be baseball being baseball.
