Saints Draft Day Trades

Loomis has never been hesitant to deal. Without researching, I'd say his inclination is almost always to move up and get a specific target. With more draft currency than ever do not be surprised if it happens.
According to the charts #13 + #75 or 78 could move them up to the #8-10 spot. Who could such a move be for?
1 Pass rusher. They could go fast and a move needed if that was the ideal selection. You know the names
2 Collins IF Scherff went early and IF they graded Collins high enough, then I could see. For me, I wouldn't want this.
3 Waynes- this I can imagine cuz there is a talent dropoff to Peters & Johnson
That's all I got. Walter does a Trades Draft and forwarded the pass rusher idea...
Trade 4: New Orleans trades No. 13 and third-round pick to Oakland for the No. 8 selection. ***
The Raiders move down again, as they continue to collect picks to fill all of their many needs. They're losing a bit on the trade value chart here, but not by a substantial margin.
The Saints, meanwhile, get the edge rusher they desperately need. It's unlikely that either Alvin Dupree or Shane Ray will make it to No. 13, so New Orleans could be poised to move up during the 2015 NFL Draft, considering how many extra selections they have.

If he were to replace Strief in the next year or two, would that change your mind? I'm not onboard with taking a Guard this high, but if the intention is to make him a RT in the near future then I am all in.

I'm thinking the two 3rd's for to get back into the 2nd, or one of the 3's to move down from 31 for someone. I'm not expecting anything super drastic. I guess I want to believe that they truly want to fix the D.

I'd prefer to trade back into the 2nd with 31 to pick up an extra 1 or 2 next year. SEA and NE do this consistently, and it's the smartest approach to the draft. Every year they have ammunition to move around at will because they are always looking towards the future as well as the present

I agree and it's a smart move, some team will be qb needy and will be willing to reach at 31 to get that 5th year option. Give up a 2nd and a future 1st or 2nd

I'm a huge advocate of trades back. Unfortunately, since '06 they have been far more of the mover upper in trades.

they have, and hopefully they have learned their lesson. Stockpiling picks > than giving them away. When you have a stockpile, you can trade up and still have ammunition for other moves. If we trade up at 13, then I think we absolutely must trade back from 31 if available

All I hope is that we don't trade up from 13. Maybe 31, but NOT 13.

just to note #31 + #75 or 78 could move ya up to #20-22
Easy to envision a much more wanted target 10 spots higher too.

Collins, Scherff, Fowler, Williams and Beasley I would be ok with trading up for, as long as we don't give up 31 or 44.

This is the most likely draft day move going by our history.

Would be perfect for a Gregory/Dupree/Shelton/Brown slide if they value them enough.

the more I think on it, the more the #75 or 78 + #31 to move up seems most probable.
Ya get a surefire starter at 13. Another targeted player drops to 20-22 that will be much more impacting than anyone at 31. They do it.
Potential droppers to the 20-22 range they could want?
Devante Parker
Dupree, Ray, or Gregory
Collins

yes these are all good points. While I don't see Parker dropping, I can see the others all being there and worthy of the trade up. As I stated in another thread, I would jump on Parker or Waynes at 13 and hope to trade up for a Dupree, Gregory or Shelton in the 20 range. This would be a great play

I agree. I'm not sold on taking a WR at 13, not named Cooper, but I trust the offensive scouting. My tendency is to say "give me defense". I would use a 3rd to move up to take either of those guys listed. I just don't see Greogry or Dupree there. Shelton wouldn't be a bad pick, but if you miss out on one of the EDGE guys, do you hope Harlod is there at 44 and one of the ILBs at the other 3rd? So many options, so many questions.....this draft should be fun.

Id even put Kendricks on this list even though this is where he's about projected.

I would be all for this trade up. How fun would this be to watch
