The 6-foot-4 Newman is the top uncommitted guard in the Class of 2016. He is considering Kentucky, Kansas, LSU, N.C. State, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He told SNY.tv last week at the Jordan Classic that he won’t sign an NLI once he chooses a school.
“No, I don’t plan on signing one,” he said. “I just feel like it’s not really a need to sign one, so I don’t want to stress myself about signing.”
Newman, who has also been approached about playing overseas next season, said then he has no timetable on making a decision.
“Whenever it feels right,” he said.
Its really time to get over this kid. Sampson is a long term solution. We have enough guard play next season. if you know where you want to go to school than sign a letter of intent. if you don't know where you want to go to school then don't make an announcement. Its pretty simple
