Not really. She is young. Has more innings pitched. Probably a little tired. It is nice to know that these four will be together as a staff for two more years.

Great weekend for Kloss, not so much for AJ. Either way good job to take the series.

When we have an off day, we are our own worst enemy.

Would've been great to sweep the Vols, but 2 of 3 ain't bad.

It would've been awesome to pick up the sweep, but I'll take a series win on the road against a ranked SEC team any day. Nice weekend.

As a former coach, I'm always greedy -- want to win them all, but overall a very good weekend in Knoxville. Tough place to play and it's a good thing to win a series on the road. If we can do it at Mizzou in 2 weeks as well, we will have 3 road series wins out of 4 and with our road conference schedule, that's pretty darn good.

Overall, I'm pleased. I just hate when we lose because we played like crap rather than were outplayed. Tennessee is a Jekyll/Hyde team. They will take a game from us, yet they lost their series with South Carolina, who is terrible.

We have four very good pitchers, but I wish we had a Monica Abbott or Cat Osterman type.

Who doesn't and not sure they make those anymore.

Abbott lost 10 games as a freshman and 9 as a sophomore. But she did win 45 and 50 those years too...must have thrown just about every game.

I'll take our 4 for sure. If Abbott went down or had a bad day, they didn't have anyone to back her up. We have solid options to go to. It's the way the game is going to now days.

Also the pitching rubber was 40 feet back then. Forgot what year it changed, but it was meant to increase offense and it did.

I researched and the pitching rubber in NCAA was moved to 43' in 1987 and in high school in 2010.

True, the game has changed, but it still would be nice to have an ace we could rely on to shut hitters down when we aren't playing our best, like today. Our pitching depth could be a big factor IF we can get back to the WCWS.
