I am getting away from my 2 liter bottles and foam blocks.
I am making up 20-30 this week and using 1/2in pvc and pool noodles. I have a couple different designs in mind but curious how ya'll do them.

oil jugs from the oil change place down the street. FREE and plentiful. Tie a railroad spike for weight.

I have seen some designs on internet where they put a small piece of rebar in the pvc and set it at top end. When fish bites it weights the bottom end. I see the concept but looks like over kill for redneck jug lining.

these are my small ones. I went overkill with some 4-inch pvc but they are awesome

storage sucks though. Hey, I have had my fair share of coke and antifreeze bottles in garage over the years!

Thats basically what i am doing. The difference is I am putting a small eye bolt into bottom cap.
Those look nice and compact.

Yeah. They take up much less room too. When I first saw them and made them, I was skeptical about bigger fish pulling the coat hanger free from the noodle, but I've caught 30lb+ fish with them and never had anything like that happen. I used to make them with PVC, but making them with coat hangers is so much easier. Really all you need are noodles, hangers, wire clippers, and rigging.

I can't find a link but I found a styrofoam noodle erector set at Wal-Mart a few months ago that had 15 pieces in it. Noodles with channels in it that were precut to the perfect size and came in a bag. Perfect jug line setup. They were on an endcap and I'm not sure if they still have them or not.
I just tie nylon line with a hook and 3 oz catfish sinker at the bottom

Saves you a lot of time when re-baiting. No need to pick up every noodle and check. The rebar also makes a "clack" noise when it flips sometimes allowing for you to hear the bite. Work well on a day you'll be checking them often. If your leaving them out over night just use something else.

ok, for 18in pvc, what size rebar would you use?

Did not understand this, so I found these instructions.
Pretty neat.

Tigerdeacon, Jr. with a good life jacket. He screams when he gets a bite. That way I can take a nap on the bank and he gets his exercise.

msandla jr. learned not to use red reflective tape when putting on jugs in spillway. a lot of critters in swamp reflect red with their eyes.
