With the S starting at $70k, somehow I don't think this hurts West Virginia sales.
WITH tax credits it's $55,000 not bad for what you get.
If they are successful in coming out with their 30-40k model in the next few years then it will be a big deal imo.

I wonder where all the people I see in Austin are getting them? Isnt that a showroom @ the Domain?

They just order online and get it shipped to them (or an address in a nearby state in which car sales are legal)
eta: So you don't have to go to a showroom to purchase a Tesla.

Not unless it comes with a free dental plan.

Wonder what they pay the employees at these "showrooms". Cause they aren't actually selling anything...they can't get a commission. And they aren't allowed to discuss pricing of the cars either correct?
So they basically just answer questions about the cars all day?

When you factor in the gas savings over a 5-7 year period it probably ends up costing as much as a Jetta.

Speaker of the Alabama House, Mike Hubbard. Indicted just a couple months before elections on 23 counts. Most of which were blatantly obvious counts of using his office for personal gain. Really, really obvious stuff.
Wins re-election in a landslide, and then is again voted to lead the House of Representatives.

I didn't know they had a showroom there. Mother and father are looking at getting one in the next year or two. To think when they had to borrow my Prius they didn't even know how to turn it on or shift... they even left it on the entire day because they didn't know you had to turn it off haha
30k Tesla would make it very commonplace in my opinion. Make 'em sweat.

Yeah it's located inside Scottsdale Fashion Square. Right in the main mall part across from the Microsoft store. They have a couple Teslas parked in that you can sit in and look at. The interiors of those things are really nice imo.

Hasn't stopped Arizonians from buying and driving the things around. I see one almost every day.
No doubt, I see them daily. Also, do you drive a silver truck with a big LSU sticker on the back window? I saw one the other day on Scottsdale Rd and thought it had to be a poster on here!

Hmm might check it out then. Parents are only really worried about reliability, comfort, and quiet-ness. And since there are no salesmen they should be alright to go by themselves too ha. Might have to visit them more often if it's a really nice car...

Haha, nope. I'm through and through just ASU. I don't even know how I found y'all (TD)

If those are their criteria they will LOVE the Tesla, they are so nice and comfortable and ya you will want to ride in it as much as possible.

I am as well expect for when it comes to football. I still love ASU football but nothing is better than LSU football, if you have never been to a game in Death Valley you need to ASAP!

While much less than gas, the cost to charge the car has to be factored in, based on 2011 energy costs in Texas it would run 2.83 cents per mile.
For a 100 mile trip
Tesla $2.83
A 25MPG gas burner at todays $2.15/Gal $8.60

Good to hear those marks on the Tesla.
Death Valley is on my list. I wish LSU and ASU had a home and home in the near future. Settling with TAMU for this year. Trying to get things figured out to try to get to that game this fall in Houston.

They are called Franchise Laws and they've been on the books for decades.
