You've yet to argue, besides providing poor insults and logical fallacies, why Zo's points are valid. Are you capable of doing that?

In Jordan's 37.1 PPG year, he also averaged 5.2 RPG and 4.6 APG. His USG% was 38.3. The same as Russell Westbrook.
MJ averaged 13.4/27.8 FG and 10.2/11.9 FT, both career highs.
He also shot 48.2% and 85.7%.
To put that into perspective, Jordan would have needed 12.9 more PPG to hit 50.
For every 2.34 FGA he had, he also attempted 1 FT. To get 12.9 more points, he would have needed 9.7 more FGA a game and 4.15 more FTA game. All of that to hit 50 points. To put in how absurd it sounds, Jordan's FGA/FTA would have went from:
27.8 FGA -> 37.5 FGA
11.9 FTA -> 16.1 FTA
Just to get 50 points at the same FG%/FT%.

You're an idiot. Just because somebody was blessed with unreal athletic ability and a huge body doesn't automatically mean they know the game better than everyone else. You have constantly deflected the question as to who would you trust more for basketball knowledge, Pop or Zo?

Just so everyone is aware, goldenbadger08 is often a moron when it comes to basketball discussions. This is not his first foray into the idiotic.

I love how the same people who say how much bigger, faster, and stronger football players have gotten over the years discredit basketball players doing the same.

Nostalgia makes people dumb.

# of injuries in basketball seem to have been increasing with said bigger, faster, and stronger as well.

He might average 50 on this particular day, but back in his day there was a lot more weak white dudes playing D. If Kobe couldn't average 50 in this era, I doubt Jordan could. Not saying Kobe is better but scoring wise, they are equal.
Maybe 35.

I could see 40 as a possibility. 50, no way.

Yep. The 80's is widely known as the worst defensive era... and Jordan never averaged 50.
Pretty cool info here:

PS - another cool stat is the average NBA player is 6'7 and its been that way since 1980. Averaging about 10 lbs heavier now however.

Jordan was an extremely smart player and everyone knows it. He wouldn't have to shoot 13 more shots a game like people are saying. He would be a master of getting to the FT line a la Harden, and bump his PPG up 5 points just in that way.
50 is a crap ton, but he's not the first person to say something like that. I think it's not unrealistic to think he could score 35+ for 5 seasons straight, with a season or two right around 40. There aren't many guys who are as competitive as he is, and that is what drives you to greatness

If he just maintained his shooting efficiency, he would have to shoot about 10 more FGs and 4.5 more FTs per game. That being said, those shots would have to be forced and his efficiency would more than likely to decrease. In addition, since he would have to take > 50% or his team's shots (and at the expense of passing), the predictability would make him easier to defend.

Well for one the Euro step became popular after Jordan retired. If he was playing in today's NBA you can sure as shite bet he would be a master of it to draw a couple extra fouls/make a couple more shots a game.
Additionally, I don't think there are many who will debate the guys inside today are nothing like the guys in the 90s, making the lane more accessible which is where tons of fouls are drawn (90% of shooting fouls are in the paint).
I also think he was a guy, who when you said "he can't" he would work that much harder to prove you wrong.
And since we are bashing Alonzo, should we also bash Phil Jackson who said he would average 45?
I can admit that overall athletes are better today because it's obvious when you look on the court. However, the 4s and 5s today are not better than those in the 90s. The athletic ability has really hit the guards and small forwards, who now dominate the league.

The illegal defense rules kept the lane more open when Jordan played than it is now. So you are incorrect in saying the lane is more accessible now.
