Does anyone else believe we'll see a 2QB system in 2015?

2006 - Florida utilized Chris Leak and Tim Tebow
2007 - LSU utilized Matt Flynn and Ryan Perrilloux
2013 - MSU utilized Tyler Russell and Dak Prescott
I agree with many on here that Miles will not allow Harris to win the starting job in practice, but when considering his comments (taken with a grain of salt) that both QBs are much improved and that neither has distinguished himself as the starter, it doesn't seem like Jennings has established himself as THE GUY either.
This just seems like the most plausible outcome to me.

I hope not. It's the biggest thing I dislike about college football.

Just perfect.
Neither can get the job done by themselves so we let both of them get out there and run around.
It Amazes me.
Have heisman and all Americans all over the field at every other offensive skill position and we have hard time getting someone that would undoubtedly start under center at every high school in La.

I don't have a problem with situational insertions of a QB into the lineup. I don't want to see a platoon system.

It's not shocking. LA QBs and LBs are criminally underdeveloped.

I just want the best guy, whether it be a much improved Jennings or Brandon Harris to emerge. Two-QB systems don't work well to me because if one messes up it psyches him out too much that he may lose the job. We need a LEADER on this offense.

Two of the teams I mentioned won a national title. The third is MSST. So there's that.

Seems like a solid reason to find/recruit more developed players if that's your logic.

We have nothing to gain from it. They aren't good at different things. Harris has better talent, and if he plays and does well there is no reason to split time with Jennings. If Jennings plays, than Harris couldn't beat out dogshit, and will transfer. That Easy

Sure, but taking elite QBs from OOS isn't the easiest thing in the world. In-state schools like to hold onto those guys and its much more cost-efficient to recruit the guys in your own backyard.

I been saying this for awhile now, i really think we see a 2QB system this fall.

I would say we have a better chance of .5 qb system, kind of like most years.

Should this happen, the rationale would be a way to give Harris live reps without burdening him with the full weight of the offense. As a way to transition into being named the starter, either later in the season or in 2016.
Everyone knows, and has known for some time, that Jennings is the bridge until Harris has properly developed into a quality SEC QB. It's actually a pretty stark contrast from the strategy from 2009-11 where we attempted to toss both QBs out to try to win some games irrespective of QB development.

Blake Simms last year threw for 4k yards.
He went to Alabama recruited as a tailback.
Let that sink in.
I understand he was a 5th year guy but still.
I refuse to believe it's as hard as LSU makes it.

I don't understand why so few people post information without bothering to check for accuracy.
Bama did to Sims what we did to Magee. Recruited at his high school position, changed positions to see the field, then switched back to his original position to suit team needs.

I do think we'll see a 2 QB system, if by "2 QB system" you mean Jennings starts every game and Harris only comes in for mop up duty.
Either way, they'll both be doing the same thing primarily, handing the ball off to our RBs.

I don't think this will ever happen. Whichever way Miles goes for a starter, that will be the approach. He does not believe in situational use of QBs. Reflect on how many times he has said, "we tried to get so and so in the game, but the situation never presented itself."

fricking stop the excuse mongering. You can ride Miles' jock all you want but to say he has done anything less than a blindingly shitty job in QB recruiting is just nonsense.

When the context is in regards to Heismans and All-Americans, that's where the mind tends to wander.

Not a single recruiting service listed Blake Sims as a QB. He was listed as an athlete.
And, sorry, we did NOT recruit Magee as a QB either. Good God man. You're absolutely full of shite in this thread.
