They currently have 2,029,340 raised from their goal of $2,000,000.

In one day. It's amazing what people can do with their available funds when they want to.

Anyone want to contribute additional funds right meow?

I dont understand why this needed to be funded. Surely a studio would easily pay that.

They don't want a studio. They have their own production team I believe

Yep.

The video says that the more funding they get, the more "cool stuff" they'll have in the movie.

They did a reddit AMA yesterday and were asked why they needed to resort to this. They said that they've been rebuffed by studios for the past 3 years, being told they didn't think support was there beyond some stoners.

Are you considered a producer/share in the profits in any way if you donate?

I hope it exceeds the hype.

If successful, they can do this for all future films and have more flexibility in the script.

First one is pretty much a cult classic, but not a lot of mainstream attention. Movie took a while to grow on me. Fantastic start and I got bored until the end.

I can understand the movie not getting the support. Studios probably said they would only fund it if they could get a bunch of big names to either star or cameo, and I'm sure that's not how they want to do it.

Nevermind. Watching the video, the more money they can get, the more "real actors" they can bring in. Solid

You know the rule: Pics or it didn't happen. Crank up photoshop and make a receipt.
