Anyone use this? I have never used it but I see people in the gym use it all of the time. does it make much difference at all?

You might as well put one between your legs to stop the vag bleeding, brah.

like I said, I don't use it. I like to feel the steel .

I used to use it all of the time. The current place I'm at doesn't have one though. Yes it does make a little difference. No reason not to use it if available imo.
but it's definitely not necessary in any way

I've had one on my bar For some time now. Seems to help.

Actually sounds like a good idea
On the subject of squats, 3 sets of 10 occasionally makes me queasy. It's not my breathing or the weight. I'm guzzling water too. What's going on?

Used it in high school after I got sun poisoning at the beach.

Before my shoulder muscles were more developed, I had to use it as the bar would rest right on my bone.
Now I don't use it.

I always liked this more than the foam pad.

3 sets of 10
you honestly can gain plenty of strength and muscle by changing that to 3 sets of 5 with more weight

well it won't help you lift more, but I mean obviously there's some difference in a steel bar resting on your back compared to one with a foam pad on it.

Pussy pad
Puts the bar to high up on your back

Yeah but 3 x 10 does too right? Because 3 x 10 gets my heart rate jacked. I love it

You're probably just lightheaded from all the blood rushing to your legs which are a lot bigger muscle than all the little ones in your upper body that you work individually.
I get queasy when my dick gets hard for the same reason - the OT

yea that's all good too. I was just suggesting that if you're getting fatigued.

I find that when its used people end up putting the bar to high. The steel gives instant feedback on where you need to place the bar

this room is a god damn sauna, that can't be helping things. It was worse before I started just downing water between sets
