This is just a dumb argument. It's like two homeless people arguing over which cardboard box they sleep in is best. Newsflash: the rest of the country looks down on the entire state, and doesn't give a damn if it's the north and or south.
I love Louisiana because it's home. But for the love of God, it ranks poorly in every major category for a reason. Maybe make the state as a whole better before worrying about which half is less shitty.

Spoken like a typical southerner to Yankee transplant. We're just Louisianians having fun with a thread purely in jest backing our own part of our state and you come in here and put our home state down with Debbie downer shite, a state that you have nothing to do with but you claim to love. It's pretentious as frick.
Sometimes, I think out of towners forget they're posting on a Louisiana centric board.
