Power pole: starboard or port side?

Looking to buy one power pole. Yes, I know two are better. Budget calls for one right now. Any benefits to having one mounted on one side over the other.
Which side would you choose? Port or Starboard?

I don't see how it would matter, but it seems like most boats I see with one it's on the starboard side.

Only thing I can think, and it's a stretch, is most trolling motors are mounted port side. A really heavy trolling motor, maybe that plus a single port power pole could cause a bit of a lean while fishing. Still seems like splitting hairs.

I put mine on the port side which is opposite of most however I like to troll banks and reefs and since me and my buddies are typically right handed therefore we cast to the starboard side so I put it on the port side so it would be out of the person fishing the back corners way.

Ours is on motor bracket to starboard side....bc swim platform is on port side. Really don't see it mattering if you're going with a single unit.

A friend will be installing it for me. So far I like the Power Pole Blade but honestly I have a ton of researching to do. I will read every message board and product review I can find before I pull the trigger.
I'll bump this thread if I come across some really good priced poles. That would be a great present. Read on another message board that one guy uses his pole over a 100 times on some days. I can't wait to have mine.

I bought a 10' blade from fishingtackleunlimited.com, ended up buying during their black friday sale so got the 10' for the price of the 8'
Heard mixed reviews on the talon in SWLA as we have more silt and mud bottoms than sand and gums up machine. If you pay attention to the guides 99.9% of them run power poles, thats my reasearch right there.
