I think DraconianSanctions, the user, is just a regular user who took that as his name because it was funny…

There was a guy named something like LSUBEATLES who was all up Brady's arse like those other guys.

I liked the guy and thought he was a good defensive coach, just too inconsistent during his time. Here are his records from '00 through his last season. I threw out his first two years because of what he walked into.

'00 28-6
'01 13-16
'02 19-15
'03 21-11
'04 18-11
'05 20-10
'06 27-9
'07 17-15
'08 8-13 before Butch Pierre took over.

Two outstanding years and a bunch of average to below average seasons. Basketball needs 3-4 consecutive seasons of above average play, if they ever want to think out turning the PMAC into what it once was IMO.

Well their sentiments were well placed. It was time for Brady to go, but he really was underappreciated. If LSU would duplicate the 2003 through 2006 period under Johnny Jones most would be happy given the five year drought under Johnson and early Jones years.

He definitely knew his x's & o's. I can't recall a Brady loss that was do to his poor coaching.

He knew defense. His offenses were ugly to watch at times.

But, there is more to running a program than just coaching. Brady was a pretty good overall coach. On paper, he was more than good enough to justify his time here. But, he pretty much alienated everyone. By the end, it was certainly time to make a change.

Hell, Trent Johnson took basically the same LSU team Brady had in his final year to the tournament.

Not really. Tasmin Mitchel missed all but 2 games in the 2008 season and ?Chris Johnson missed a portion with a broken hand.

He was Bobby Knight, minus the talent and charisma.

His lone redeeming quality was that he was a raging a-hole.

It was always great to guess which five players he would run off every offseason.

Lack of defense has surely hurt this year's team. Possibly Bobby Night's brother!

Gottfried can frick off. He's appreciated as much as he should be. He won when he had a couple of NBA players, he did not when if he didn't. That's John Brady's career

Brady was seriously just an a-hole. Some people thought it was cute and funny on the sidelines, didn't really care when he ran players off...but damn, the things that dude said to players, I'm literally shocked he hasn't gotten his arse beaten by one of them.

Saban says worse things and he is revered.

This is a moronic statement of the nth degree.

Honestly, he wasn't that big of an a-hole. His biggest problem was that he refused to kiss arse.
