I once knew a woman like that in college. She was an LSU cheerleader who was majoring in engineering. We had been flirting back and forth and were in a study group together when she told me a piece of brutal honesty when I asked her what made her want to major in Petroleum Engineering. She said she wanted to marry someone who was going to be a multi-multi millionaire, and that PETE seemed an easier way to do that then getting some BS degree like all the sorority suzies looking for their Mrs. degree. I was disappointed, of course, because that meant I didn't have a chance with her (not that it stopped me from trying/failing), but I respected her candor.
Ignorant at the time it sounds like. Respect her candor, but I cannot respect her desire for money above all else, especially if it prevented her from meeting someone that would have made her life a lot better in many other aspects. Something tells me her being a "multi-millionaire" did not work out so hot, and I bet she changed her outlook a bit after time.

The guy she's engaged to is still in his mid 20s and well on his way to being a multi-millionaire. Will probably be a millionaire by the time you read this post, haha.

It's a desire for security. Money just happens to provide security. Women will prioritze security over everything else.
