his year they came up with a Madness Machine

What a joke!

I added a little more "size and rebounding" to try and tilt the bracket in Kentucky's favor, and I ended up with Kentucky losing to Maryland in the Round of 16. Villanova cuts down the nets!!!!

Turrible.

Edit: I just ran a second bracket, this time I clicked on LSU as my team (the first time I left it blank). How much did it tilt the odds in LSU's favor? Well in the first bracket, with no advantage given to my team, LSU would have lost to Nova in the round of 32. In the second bracket, not adjusting anything but selected LSU as my team, the machine spit out a first round loss to NC State.

By the way, Wisconsin beats UK in the Final Four in my second run.

Madness machine would work much better with the NBA, where over the course of 4-7 games vs the same team the best team is going to win almost always.

The CBB tournament is subject to too much variance with it being one and done. The best teams don't always win because of an off day or whatever.

x100000!!

This "Madness Machine" is dog shite. The blind bracket program was a great way to help pick your bracket. Hopefully the WSJ wises up and realizes how bad this thing is.
