Being here in Austin and seeing the Longhorn Network not really live up to expectations so far. Saying that I didn't know what to expect with our Network. Now getting to watch my Tigers play Auburn today and 2 baseball games over the weekend I am feeling closer to home than I've been since I moved 10 years ago. To me I think the SEC gets an A so far minus a couple commentators who probably won't last long. What do y'all think so far.

It's been good so far, except for Finebaum but most people work through his show anyway.
I can't get the Longhorn Network anymore, it used to be on my COX tier but I'm not paying extra for it.

I have 3 criticisms thus far:
1. Finebaum. That show is so bad that I can't even watch it. It annoys me that it even exists on television.
2. They hype Bama too much (see criticism 1)
3. They under-utilize the spillover channels. They have 3 spillover channels not being used while all the LSU baseball games are on the web. Why not throw some of those ESPN3 feeds on the overflow channels?

Honestly I know most people hate Finebaum because he started as a psycho Bama homer but I really don't think he's personally that bad. I can't stand the show but it's mainly because of the braindead redneck callers that he talks to for literally 90% of the show

You do realize that those are staged, right? That's his whole schtick. It's the central premise of the show.

Not really, I'd never even heard that much about Finebaum until he started on SECn and I only listened two or three times before it got annoying. Makes sense though

Would be great if ESPN updated their shite and made it available on the Xbox One.

Charles from reel town is solid.

This is my biggest complaint. Makes no sense why they have the spillover channels and rarely use them.

I agree. I'm in Austin too, and have been able to watch every baseball and basketball game this season. so far.

You are a terrible human being if you watch and like his show.

Hey genius refer to the part of my post whene I said "I can't stand the show". Maybe you should slow down the post rate just a tad bit, read the posts you're about to respond to thoroughly, and start going for quality over quantity

They are not going to put it on spillover channels because that is additional contact that the universities are putting on with radio broadcasts and other local talent.

I'm glad you are able to get the opportunity to watch LSU via the Alabama Sports Programing Network.

SECN+ is absolutely 1st class. Being able to watch nearly every baseball game at no additional cost is great. And the production quality is so much better than Geaux Zone. As for regular programming IDGAF...I only watch it for the live games (or the occasional LSU classic)

SEC Network + the WatchESPN app + Roku box = Me being very happy that I'm able to watch every single LSU baseball game

Same here. Only complaint is they haven't been able to get the alternate channels to work when games that are being aired on the main channel run into one another. It happened yesterday and also for a basketball game earlier this year. Not a big deal though.

From what I hear from a buddy in the business, ESPN is thrilled over the ratings, totally unexpected to be this high in its first yr. So, don't expect any radical changes.Maybe an analyst here & there. Finebaum supposedly caught some flack from the suits early on re his whacko callers & they were screened for a while. But then, Jerry Springer like, they caught on & now ESPN is encouraging Finebaum to let them talk. I stopped watching mid way through last football season when his open pimping for bama got worse & worse. For the poster who thinks he is ok personally: he once called B.R. a toxic waste dump several yrs ago.
