Basile, in my opinion Brady's final four team is directly related to Dale. When Dale arrived , LSU did not have any African American players on the team. The first kid he recruited was Collis Temple. Recruiting Collis led to Kenny Higgs, who led to Rudy and the other guys that formed the success of the late 70s and early 80s. Without that history of success, you don't get the CJs and Shaqs, let alone the guys Brady coached. Finally , the meat of Brady's final four team were kids Collis Temple funneled to LSU. If Dale doesn't recruit Collis or otherwise didn't invest in his personal development, Collis doesn't send those kids to LSU. Dale had a vision and saw the big picture relative LSU basketball. I agree that X/O wise he wasn't the best , but he built the program and brought it to the highest levels. There was a point in the early 90s where LSU, North Catolina and Gtown were the only three schools to make the NCAA tourney 15 consecutive years (or something like that).

Sorry, but your history is incorrect. Collis was recruited by Press Maravich. Brown coached him only his latter 2 seasons.
