And Hootie and the Blowfish broke a lot of those records but they aren't legendary in my opinion. Album sales are not what it's all about for me. It's about a legacy of not just how did the album sell but what was the content of the album. I always liked Nevermind a lot but have never been a fan of In Utero, though I totally respect Kurt and the guys for not repeating themselves.

I think they would be more popular now if he hadn't killed himself. A lot of people seem to hate him now.

In utero is horrible crap. The lyrics are lazy and most every track is just formulaic noise outside of penny royal tea which really isn't a good song.

Heart shape box had the trademark sing along hook but it didn't have real grounding.

Neverending and bleach are far far better albums.
