well, you dont' get into the HOF too often without championships, or at least a visit to them while being a stat dominator.
and those guys have multiple championships, and have been the main reason they won it sometimes. They also are playing with 2 guys who are considered top 10 of all time by some people, on top of playing with two of the best coaches of all time.

I don't get how this relates to our next step? Find the next Pop? Sign Phil Jackson even though he hates everything NOLA?

Parker and Gasol are not true 2nd bananas in the Pippen mold. Gasol didn't win a playoff game before teaming up with Kobe (he got swept 3 times). Duncan won a title before Parker even got there.

Also, "go find a Hall of Famer" that isn't ancient or very highly coveted isn't an easy task to pull off.

Yes they are. You can argue this with Pau, but not with Parker. He was the MVP in 2007 for gods sake and that wasn't a gift. He was the best player on that team.
You think Pippen and MJ didn't have help, just like Parker and Pau had outside of the superstars?

I know that. That's why we aren't winning a championship anytime soon.
We need to keep getting better and hope we can lure a top guy here in a trade down the road, or actually keep a draft pick and get lucky.
We aren't winning one without a legit second fiddle.

We don't even know who our 2nd best player is right now. Every playoff team in the West at least knows who their #2 is.
