We give him phenobarbital every morning and hasn't had a seizure since. We have to bring him in every 6 months or so to have his levels checked and get a refill. Not that expensive either, about $30 for 90 pills.
thanks for the response! Good to hear, im taking my girl in one morning to get bloodwork and get her started on the meds asap

We had 2 Akitas (1 worse than the other_ that had seizures due to the flea/tick stuff we used but the seizures went away when we changed brands.
I do not recall the brands involved....sorry.
