Netflix recommendations: shows that have a similar feel as Peaky Blinders

I really like historical shows, and Peaky Blinders hits on that plus the acting and storyline is excellent. Anything out there similar?
I'm thinking of watching Vikings, will I be disappointed?
ETA: I've already seen Band of Brothers and The Pacific

I always liked The Tudors (the one from Showtime with Jonathan Rhys Meyers). It does get a little soap opery though. I've heard good things about Vikings but I haven't watched it yet.
Are we just pursuing Netflix or HBOGo too? If you have access to HBO shows, Rome should be top of your list of "period" pieces.

The Knick and Boardwalk Empire are similar period pieces. Neither is on Netflix, but neither are BoB/Pacific.

Vikings is very good but as Belle said, Rome is your best choice. The first season is as good as anything ever on TV.

How historically accurate does the show have to be? Because Deadwood is good but is a mix of fiction and real events.
Also like Newsroom on HBO. Show evolves around real news that occurred.

Marco Polo is definitely historical fiction, and I loved the tone and feel of the show. Something to check out.

You will not be disappointed by Vikings. Definitely not in the first and maybe second seasons. It may be starting to spin out of control now storyline wise, alliances made and broken over and over again. It can get a bit stale.
