funny how his defenses were ranked in the 50's in 3/5 of the years that that poster pointed out. Our clock-chewing offense, Raymond, orgeron, and the plethora of talent we have compiled is going to make Steele look just fine even if he isn't elite. I don't think it was a home run hire or anything but I'm a lot more optimistic about Steele than most posters on here, we'll be fine on D next year

I don't think Steele was a great hire but if it's a disaster it could be the end of Miles. I don't think he would risk it if he didn't have faith in him.

What's changed that made it seem like a good hire? The only thing that made people feel better about it was getting Orgeron. I still think he's a terrible hire

Wow! this a great find. I had no idea how pessimistic people were about Chavis when he was first hired. It was before I was on the rant 
I wonder why he was so much more successful here than at Tennessee. Was it all the talent?
