I'll explain it for you. For some reason the public thinks thatpolice cannot punch you. That is completely wrong. An officer can punch, kick or knee someone. The crux of it is that that level or force cannot greatly exceed the level of resistance given. Officers perception, experience and training plays a huge factor in what level of force he uses. They can generally use 1 level higher than the suspect.
You just covered it yourself. Thanks buddy.

Well, maybe because that's actually illegal as frick.
Illegal, Shmeellegal. As a tax-payer, I'm tired of doling out cash to everyone who gets recorded taking a beating from a peace-officer. We need better training or technology for cops to prevent these beatings from being recorded.

I'd love to see any of you dorks attempt to grab the back of a cops knee (:08) and take him to the ground. Good luck with that. The kid got off lucky.

It's pretty simple really. Stop beating unarmed people.

You're a dumbass. Selective reading at its best because I also said.
Oh ok. So in this case 4 punches to the face is 1 level higher than a little shite kid drunkenly falling all over the place. Got it.

He's trolling brainiac.

So you're obviously not a "large, African-American lawyer".
I am disappoint.

Sounds great. While you're at it, why not stop the rain or my receding hairline?
How about instead of fairy tales, we focus on problems that we can solve? For starters, these costly videos. Or do you not pay taxes?

Cory Porche (the second plain clothes officer who eventually takes becker into cuffs) is basically standing right next to Breaux the entire time and never even really gets to his knees to help subdue Becker. He didn't look too concerned the entire time.
Meanwhile, Breaux is on the ground playing like he's fighting in the ring with someone trying to tap him out.

BUt you can construe that the same fricking pig was involved in beating someone....it shows a patter of the issue that WAS KNOWN by his employer.
He will get paid and he has 10 witnesses and a video. NO WAY to win for JPSO..Cop=fired and get out teh checkbook.

I'm supposed to be outraged but I just can't conjure up the emotion for this

You couldn't pay me to take that case in JP.
That kid fricked up, and JPSO is revered.

You ever grab a cop by the back of the knee and try to roll him?

What tactic allows you to punch in the face when just dealing with resistance and not in a fight for your life?
Everything I was ever taught was open handed strikes.

JPSO also claims that the kid's BAC was 8x the legal limit for a kid his age...so we have an angry cop (rightfully so because some punk kid was yelling "f*&k the police" at him) with a history of brutality who beats a teenagers face in who allegedly was so drunk he had to throw up while in the cop car on the way to the police station and this cop has AT LEAST one other officer at his side, but cannot subdue this kid without punching him in the face?

Fact.
It will settle out of court.
There's enough there that the kid will get something, plus Joe Boxer has priors.
He'll keep his job though. Easily.
