Exactly. I litter more in the summer so the workers can get a nice tan.

If its biodegradable, I've never had a problem with throwing a food product etc out the car window. Plenty of apple cores and banana peels have hit the street outta my window over the years! Not on the reg though as I dont eat fruit in the vehicle normally.
Would the quantity matter then?
Say I have a banana and apple party and save up all my peels / cores and then dump them in a big pile on the sidewalk. Would that be littering?

IYAM organic material are okay. As long as you don't throw it in the right of way where it would attract animals and put them at risk. Or in somebody's yard.

Just make sure you get some distance on them. Food attracts the mice/rats and that attracts hawks. That's the main reason you see dead hawks on the side of the road.

If you throw anything out your car window, it's litter. Anybody who says any different is trashy af.

If it would otherwise go in the trash, it's literring. Not that hard folks.

Probably is, technically.
I wouldn't consider it littering though because they're biodegradable and pose no health risk.

Yes.
Per wiki.

What would your reaction be if someone dumped a garbage bag full of pistachio shells and other biodegradables on your lawn?
