The amount given is usually dependent on student's ACT/SAT & GPA.
The average ACT at A&M is a 27 while the average ACT a LSU is a 26. Very comparable student body.

Daughter likes TAMU
Son and I toured TAMU on Sunday and he doesn't like it. We ate a burger at Harvey Washbangers and there was a table full of freshmen Corp of Cadets guys there and they weren't the best ambassadors for TAMU student life
This is a strange time for parents and kids evaluating colleges, undergrad degrees are worth "less and less" while tuitions are higher and higher.
