And also TV is becoming more and more important. Chelsea's new shirt deal is the result of their large, worldwide fan base that watch the matches regularly.

I know some do go but its a very small number.
The guy in the states who gets a jersey every year is nothing compared to the fan in england or from europe who goes multiple times a year and spends hundreds on match day.
