I normally run his boring but big challenge during the winter. I'll do something akin to his North of Vag program during the spring
What? These are really the names?

Boring but big is one of the names for an assistance regimen along with 5.3.1. Not sure about that second one

Yea, he has reasons for naming that, but yea he is a tad rough around the edges and tells it like it is.

yeah, as stated, he's a little rough around the edges.
The Boring but Big challenge is 3-4 months of hell. You'll hurt. All the time. But you can put on some good size and strength if you follow the program, eat well, and get your rest.
North of Vag is a pretty basic program. It was in the original 531 book, but I'm not sure if he's included it in the most recent editions. Its basically mobility work, jump rope work, lift, and hill sprints. Pretty basic, but effective. And will bring you north of vag.
