But Anderson is guarding 5s

All honesty how you think thats working out?

My opinion is, its not working at all. That's why I suggest adding a true defensive 4/5 off the bench if we keep Asik

AD in the 4th quarter, IMO, can guard almost any 5.

Ive constantly made post saying we need a Tristan Thompson or a Taj Gibson type role off the bench

This will allow Asik or whomever we add to fill the (4/5 defensive role) to play aggressive and dont worry about fouls.

In some games, if done consistently, refs will allow some big man to play more aggressive and not blow the whistle.

That's the point. It doesn't really work and they haven't changed it. They try their best to avoid having Davis guard the 5. So playing a 3/4 with Davis means they still will play a 5 too. Getting a 3rd big who can guard 5s to play with Davis seems like the move they need to make. But it's likely going to be a 5 that is limited offensively.

His switching ability and the fact that he can guard 2-4 is a big plus for Draymond, though.

That is a very good point that I didn't consider as much as I should have. No doubt Draymond still brings value, even at the 3. I guess I just see him as a superior version of Cunningham.
