Blues!! No mock yet??

Let the anticipation build
and truly, this looks to be the clearest selection since Jenkins or Brian Cushing. Clear for 7 players at 3 positions. As said, free agency should make Collins or Scherff either much more or much less viable.
A question I haven't yet looked at is what is the possibility that Scherff, Collins, Waynes, Fowler, Beasley, Ray, & Gregory are all gone.
Another approach we've done here before is instead of just mocks is come up with the Saints Big Board. This year even easier- just come up with the Top 13 players in order you would take as the Saints GM. With that, no matter which players are taken before you have the consensus ST pick when it gets to 13.

Yeah I think this year it's pretty clear-cut as far as who were taking in the first. It's going to either be Waynes, La'el/Scherff, or one of the top 7 defensive front players. It's the second round on where it gets fun and debateable.

The ones in bold will definitely be gone.
But the others are up in the air. I think there is 0% chance all of those are gone.

I really think its down to Waynes or Collins for us. Really dont think they will go pass rusher of any kind in the first. Even though I would really love to have Beasley. He's a linebacker that's like a big oversized fast strong safety. Gonna be a huge asset for some team.

a sucker for any mock offer...
1TB Winston
2TN Williams
3JX Fowler
4OK White
5WA Cooper
6NJ Mariota
7CH Shelton
8AT Gregory
9NG Scherff
10ST Peat
11MN Parker
12CL Beasley
13 Nawlins SHANE RAY LB MIZZOU
He looks like a baller that could bring some fresh fire like Vaccaro's rookie year. I could see Ray-Beasley-Gregory-Fowler going in any order (Fowler my top)
Just as easy here I could see Trae Waynes if he grades out to the staff. Free agency, then a lot more insight.
Saints #45 P.J. Williams CB Fla St
Saints #75 Andy Gallik C Boston College (I will go so far as to call no Center taken in last year's deep class a large gaffe)
Saints #109 T.J. Yeldon RB Alabama
Rotating Tide backs through. Right round this time.
Saints #140 Daryl Williams OT Oklahoma
Strief will be 32 also. Not seeing it with Harris & Kelemente. Guard candidate as well.
Saints #171 Trey DePriest LB Alabama
Saints #203 Dezmin Lewis WR Central Arkansas
Colston maybe one more year. Big body competition for Toon and Coleman

I like it for the most part. I just wish I could see who was still available when each pick was made. Idk how I feel about Golson, especially in the third. And Taiwan Jones just didn't look all that good in positional drills at the combine.
Overall I'd be good with it. Love Bud and Tomlinson, and Gallik is really good value. Also, while I don't agree with the players, needs are addressed with Golson and Jones.

All of these are really shite without us having gone through Free Agency first. We are just throwing darts blindly.
But still. Dupree is raw and I don't like that, but he could easily start opposite Galette or add weight and be opposite Cam, which is what I do like.

I would take it.......dont see it happening but i would take it.
The more I see from reports about the combine and from what Ireland has done in the past I really think we go Collins in the first. Only way I see that changing is if we sign some young up and coming guard in free agency or we don't pick up a Corner in free agency.
This statement says it all right here....
This year, Payton said, the Saints have two or three “musts.”
“I think one’s a corner. I think another position is an interior offensive lineman. And potentially a pass-rusher,” Payton told Pro Football Talk while at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. “And look, those are invaluable positions to every team every year.“We have to check off the musts, be it through free agency or the draft.”
The "potentially a pass-rusher" sounds like its not very important to them.

Add Winston, Mariota, Williams, Cooper, White & Flower to that list of most likely going to be gone before 13; thereby, dropping Shelton and 1 of those in your list.

Yup.
A good player will be there. If its not one the FO is in love with lets go for the first ever 1st round CSP trade down.
Give me about three pics in the 2nd round and I will be in love

13) New Orleans – Randy Gregory – OLB – Nebraska – You can never have too many pass rushers and Gregory gives the Saints a very good one.

I'd be okay with this. Ideally I'd like him to put a little more weight on but the potential is there.

13. New Orleans Saints - Vic Beasley, DE/OLB, Clemson (6'2" 235)
The Saints could really use a boost at the 3-4 OLB position. Opinions vary considerably on Beasley, but I'm bullish on his chances at becoming a star in the NFL. The guy is a talented pass rusher, and his great NFL Combine performance could boost him potentially into the top 10.
