They really do do these too often. I'm still sort of worn out from the last season. I wish they'd either space them out more, or do fewer shows per week...two (or more) nights of two-hour episodes feels like a chore for this show.
I'll still watch though, at least for now...

Bitchstina saw how much the folks loved Gwen and couldn't stand it so she wedged herself back in.

Saw the ads and I just cringed because I feel like we just finished watching recently. I'm not looking forward to Christina's return either.
I'm watching Idol right now and the crew they picked this year looks to be excellent. I'm already invested and live shows start this week. I'll try to keep up with The Voice, too, but I'll be taping it and watching when I can. There are so many long commercials that it doesn't take all that long to get through them when you can ff.
I was hoping it didn't start until April or later.

Catching up, so in order...
Nashville chick with the silver glasses.
--She started off shaky, I wasn't really impressed. As the song progressed though she got comfortable and wasn't bad. I'm not sure she could win, but she has some potential.
The Crooner
--Crooning is more along my lines but I don't see his voice as having the range to expand too far beyond crooning.
Gay black guy from Donaldsonville
--Voice was okay, but the control he has in the high register is sick.
Melon girl
---Not on the show, so not going to worry about it. She has potential though.
Country guy
--Good voice, his timing seemed a bit off at times though.
Semi-deaf chick with deaf parents
--Good voice, she has that alternative sound but isn't doing that stupid thing where they pronounce things strangely. JEEBUS at the instant power! Whew!
The person they don't show before the chairs turn
--He's not bad, but a little too much vibrato for me. I'm more of a fan of a pure tone.
Gal that got a break as a duo and now wants to go solo
--I'm kinda "meh" on her being allowed to be on the show. I can hear a lot of soul potential there but there's a little too much country that sticks around. Oh yeah, that grit at the end... nice.
Jewish blues guy
--Damn. That man can sing a fricking ballad. He's like a mixture of Joe Cocker (RIP) and Bob Seger.
Blonde high school chick
--I don't care for the song choice, the beginning is shitty for voice showcasing. She wasn't that good even in the more powerful part of the song. And it just got worse when she was singing "Happy".
15-yr old farm boy that needs a fricking haircut
--My first thought was "is this the chick from Hanson?" And he opens his mouth and... sonofabitch!!! The song choice along with his voice is fricking SICK! And he's so damned young! :notworthygif:
Tuesday Night:
Philly Street Singer
--Yeah, this guy has his shite together. He's right on tone, right on the beat and doing just enough dancing to get the crowd going without getting himself winded. Excellent performance!
"WolfChild"
--He has good tone, the folksy shite just doesn't work for me though. He really knows how to put the appropriate amount of emotion into it at just the right time. I hope to see whoever his coach is push him to branch out into something that will showcase him a little better.
16yr old chick with the strange headgear
--Great, STRONG start. I'm always impressed by the kids with the voice that's so mature and they have so much control.
Young guy with douchie dad who cut off his college funds
--I usually like it when people come up with new ways to sing songs. This was not one of those times. The song was far too fast to give an idea of his range or ability.
Bald woman that works in prison
--Singing a coach's song? Risky... She's got a good voice, seems like she has some power she's holding back. She opened up a bit as I was typing that lol! She lost a little control when Pharrell turned around but she recovered nicely.
The Samoan
--Really good voice. Smooth delivery in the slow part, seemed a little shaky in some of the more powerful moments but recovered very well. GREAT song choice!
Country XRay tech
--This song has the right kind of beginning to catch attention, but I'm not sure it's a good choice overall. The majority of it is rapid-fire fast singing which doesn't give a chance to really showcase his voice.
Mia Z
--Another youngster and she's singing BB King. This is either going to be total shite or totally amazing... There's potential but she seems to be rushing it a bit and doing too much baby-talk kind of tone. Damn her high note though... shite. She has potential but with her family being so involved I can't help but wonder if they are going to be a hindrance.
The Bahamas guy:
--This guy seems like the happiest, most positive guy on the show. His voice is okay but I think with the right coaching he could make it a decent way... especially with that better control he showed in the later power moments.
Bearded guy:
--Not a bad song choice, but his attempt to go high was really bad. His voice had the best moment when he got real bluesy during the "no-no-no". He probably would have gotten a chair turn with something that pushed that more. Something like Seger.
The returning rodeo queen
--Not bad. She stays a little too deep but has potential (and I love it when folks don't make it the first time but come back and make it).
Footnote: IMO, Pharrell spits out the best game.
