If Cuse had a decent stadium or if the game would have been played at a neutral site (Yankee Stadium, MetLife, etc), I'd probably consider it. As it stands now, probably not.

Headed up from atl with my Destrehan/Tiger wife. We tell people we have a marriage of convenience where she gets my basketball and I get her football (though I do remind her what happened last time we played...and she rolls her eyes at me). This year I've got nothing for her except some NCAA sanctions.

I hope you all enjoy cuse and the central New York area. It's a fantastic time of year to go there. Tons to do and I trust you'll be welcomed.

Thinkin' you could come in on Thursday, see the Sox, and head to upstate NY on Friday. You really can't leave Saturday because we don't known what time kickoff is.

That's what I personally would do if were anyone else. Hit up a game and hang out in Boston and then make the drive up and possibly see the hall of fame if interested. Then hang out with all the LSU fans in Syracuse and go to the game.

If you are a baseball fan then maybe Hall of Fame will be awesome. Personally I was way underwhelmed by it

between Fenway and Cooperstown- Fenway everytime

Agreed. Fenway is awesome. You don't have to be a big baseball fan to appreciate it. I love the stadium.

I'll be flying up from BR or msy, not sure whether I'll fly into Buffalo, Rochester, Ithaca, Syracuse, or Binghamton. All of those are within 2 hours so not bad. If anyone has a passport, I'd suggest flying to buffalo and seeing niagara falls/heading across the bridge to canada for a bit. Plenty of casinos around there.

The people flying into philly, that drive on the northeast extension to scranton, then 81 up past binghamton to cuse is beautiful. Was my usual drive to and from school, 4 hours (can do it in 3.5). Watch out for cops on 81 though, those ny state police hide all over the place as soon as you cross state lines.

I'm at Embassy Suites on Old Collamer Road South in Syracuse. I know several Tiger fans staying there. We booked for $150/night, which is a rate that you never find in SEC towns on game weekends!

I think there's a few people on here who can give better suggestions for nh/maine, but i went up to the moosehead lake region in maine (past bangor) and had a great time fishing, hiking, seeing wild moose . New hampshire is nice as well and if you're gonna have to drive from boston over to cuse anyway, you mght as well spend some time there and in vermont. Vermont's one of my favorite places, beautiful area with plenty to do near Burlington

Allow me to parachute in …

Portsmouth, NH and Portland, Maine are within driving distance of Boston, and both are worth it in my humble opinion. Portland is a big-time foodie town, if that's something that appeals to you. NH has a short, but beautiful, coastline — perfect to see by car and your journey will end in Portsmouth, where there are plenty of bars and a decent downtown area that's reminiscent of a college town.

I would also point you in the opposite direction and consider Newport, R.I. It's by far my favorite day trip from Boston. The Cliff Walk is spectacular.

i was. Not looking good now.

Upstate New York to NYC is like the French Quarter to the rest of Louisiana in terms of differences.

Should be a great trip.

If you have the time go to Cooperstown to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Well worth the visit. Also, the Finger Lakes region is a beautiful area to the west of Syracuse.
