At what point should you go back to school

I am not satisfied with where I am. At all. I think I have remarkable ability(at what im good at) but i do not have the chance to prove it. I have a "decent" nowhere job that pays what I need right now but I'm terrified of staying at it, continiously trying to get where I want to go, getting nowhere until I'm too old to be marketable.

If you are confident that going back to school will solve any or all of these problems, then the point is somewhere between "right now" and "ASAMFP"

How will going back to school help your situation?
Posted on 2/22/15 at 12:57 am to athenslife101
I just started college.
I'm 32 with 2 kids. If you're not happy where you're at you need to make it happen. Things won't just get better on their own.

ASAP. If you're not happy with your situation, do something to improve it man. No time like the present.

At the point where you can go back to school without taking on an incredible amount of debt

I went back at age 41 with 3 kids. It's never too late.

I do some recruiting for a graduate school at a state university. Maybe I can help.
Answer some questions for me and maybe I cam assist
What is your degree(s) in? What is your current job? What are your career goals exactly, what field?

After a solid career as a professional athlete I went back at 28. Just commit and do it. You will not regret it.

I was 30 and very unhappy with my life. Went back to college to obtain a Master's degree (which I earned at 33. Opened doors for me and I am not much better off for going back.
My only advice is that if you go back make sure you commit all the way. IF you half arse it changes are that you won't finish.

I went back at 28 when I discovered the glass ceiling stages at my profession, no matter what company I worked at. Topped out, I would've been making around $50k/yr, but when I started, I was making $27k.
Bills came, didn't have the money, looked at my projected future growth both personal and professional wise, and decided I had to switch careers. Only other passion was engineering, so that's what I did

It's next to impossible to give the best advice without knowing what your degrees are in
